Just wanted to thank everyone in the community for all the info and inspiration.

Been brewing for about 6 months now... And officially drinking my first all grain batch... It's the best yet...just a simple cream ale.

Even the wife loves it and that is saying something.

Cheers!

Good style choice.

I find that if you brew a cream ale with a good clean yeast such as Cal Ale (White Labs) or American Ale (Wyeast), or even Fermentis US-05, and then harvest that yeast, and brew it again, you can get near lager flavour profile from this style.

Best thing of all...no lagering! Beer is very drinkable after 3 weeks.

I really like this all grain style.

Usually put about 2lb of corn, and a pound of table sugar to about 17 lb 2 row, with a bit of munich or C-10 for a 12 gal batch.

If you use American hops, I really like Amarillo.

You can make the style more pilsner like with Hallertau.

It's always nice to hear of a relatively new brewer having great success.

When I have my next cream ale on tap, I will raise a glass to your brewing success :)
