Problems with Oxygen based sanitizer?

I have always used either one step or easyclean to sanitize , but recently had a bad batch in secondary, and possibly some bad bottles from my latest batch(notsure yet).Any similar experiences out there?? Comments? Thanks

I use oxyclean to clean but not sanitize. Is it safe to use as a sanitizer?
I use Star-san to sanitize.

Neither easyclean or onestep are actual sanitizers/ I wouldn't trust them for anything. I go into detail here. Sanitizer Question.

Agreed, one-step is a great "sanitizing agent" (doesn't quite meet FDA specs for the term sanitizer), it works well for a lot of people for many years. But if you are having sanitation issues switching to Iodophor, Bleach, or Starsan would be the first thing I would do (besides a severe cleaning of all post-boil equipment).
