Hey folks.. I need some input and to be honest I don't have time to research it so thought I would pop on here and get some answers from you fine folks..

I've always slid my temp probe from my Johnson Controller in between a piece of card board taped to the side of the plastic bucket when controlling temps in my fermentation chamber..

In doing so with the same method but with a SS conical.. would the probe insulated to the side of the FV change any dynamics on how well it regulates temps vs plastic?

Thanks!!

If it's insulated from the ambient air, you should be good. I would think the SS would be more accurate since it's thinner and is a better thermal conductor.
