Oh no I just started to get ready to prime my beer only to find I'm out of corn sugar. I make 2.5 gallon test batches and use 2.5 oz of corn sugar for them. I have regular sugar and pale malt extract, I know I can use either one to prime but I don't know how much to use. Has anyone used these before? and can I scale them for a 2.5 gal batch? How much?

Thank you for any assistance you can provide

Off the top of my head (ie confirm, please) you can use regular sugar 1:1 and with DME use 20% more.

Yes, both will "work". Take a look at the priming calculator on tastybrew.com to work out how much you need for the style of beer that you are making.

thanks you all have been very helpful, I love the calculators added them to my favorites
