I have 4 1-gallon kits ready to bottle, and I've not had very good luck with the fizz drops, so I'm going to use priming sugar. My question is how much water do I need to boil the priming sugar? 1/4 cup? That is going to be damn near impossible to boil on the stove as I don't have a small enough pot.

any suggestions?

Matt

What about measuring out the priming sugar and putting it in a small bowl, then add 1/2 of boiling water to it and dissolving that way. The priming sugar will be less than an ounce for the 1 gallon batch.
