Ok ive decided that im leaving my beer in primary for about three weeks. My concern is that i am bottling the beer will there be enough yeast to eat my priming sugar and carbonate my beer. this is my first batch and i also need to know how long to leave it after bottled to drink it at its peak performance.

would appreciate any help

There will be plenty of yeast. I've left beers for 6 months and more, and they have always carb'd.

Keep bottles at 70 F or above for a couple of weeks and you should be carb'd. If it's cooler, it will take longer.

I just left a beer in primary for 5.5 months and it carbed up fine. I routinely leave my beers in primary for a month and there has always been plenty of yeast to do the job.
