A supplier has recommended using polyurethane tubing for beer line or beer fas tubing. Does anyone know if this material is suitable for either?

Anything can be suitable for gas tubing provided it is rated for pressure at refrigerator temperatures.

Liquid tubing is a different matter since you want to make sure it's rated for pressure but it's also not going to leach any dangerous or unpleasant chemicals into the beer. For beer line I'd stick with a proven product that's rated for beverage use.

Price is $1.80 per foot - kinda expensive for gas tubing. I am thinking of just going with good ole braided vinyl tubing.

Or just 5/16" ID and 1/2" OD plain vinyl tubing for my gas line
