I recently acquired a 3 way CO2 manifold that I was going to use to connect to my 3 kegs. In my excitement at the thought of having 3 kegs to choose from I neglected to pick up an extra gas line from my regulator to the manifold. I have some extra plastic tubing and a 5/16 barb. Is it okay to use the plastic tubing for my gas line while I wait for a new gas line? The only difference I can see is that it is not reinforced but is this necessary for temporary solution?

Plastic tubing as in vinyl? Sure. I actually use the same vinyl tubing for my co2 lines as my beer lines (well 1/4" for co2 so it'll fit my 5/16 air filters) so i can see inside the lines. I don't like using those red lines as if beer ever backed up into them you'd never see the mold growing inside.

Yeah the same clear vinyl tubing we use for beer lines and transferring.
