I bottled a golden strong about 3 weeks ago using plastic corks with wire cages on a number of them. I recently noticed that the majority of the bottles were leaking co2, as I saw the bubbles rising towards the top and a little foaming. Anyone had similar experiences with plastic corks? Is there a way to salvage these bottles? Thanks

I have used plastic "champagne corks" on a lot of European bottles, and held them on with wire cages.

Never noticed foaming. Put them on their sides and see if liquid actually is getting forced out.

If no liquid / beer gets out after a couple three days you don't have a problem.

If you do have seepage, I think you are looking at starting from scratch and re-bottling the whole batch.
