So, made a Hex nut brown ale kit from Midwest and said to cool the wort below 80f well it was well below 80 it was around 50 f is that too low should I be worried.
I just put ice in the 5 gallon pal and purred and stirred and took a temp reading and that's what it said it will still ferment right it just make take a little longer right or will it be fine?
+1 on BigFloyd's comments. At worst, too cool will put the yeast to sleep and add to your lag time before active ferm begins. Swirling will get the yeast off the bottom and wake them up once the wort is at the low end of the desired ferm temp.
