I started a project a few months ago that contains 4 one gallon lambic batches each pitched with Wyeast Lambic Blend as well as different cultured Dregs.

The batches with Giardin Gueze and Jolly Pumpkin Dregs added fermented actively, but have no pellicle.

The batch with just lambic blend has a big bubbly pellicle:

While the batch with lambic blend and fantome saison dregs has a much lower, sort of dusty pellicle (I'm using a flashlight for cross light here to show the texture):

I just love pellicle porn and wanted to share and found it interesting how just the addition of different dregs can effect fermentation so much.

That is some awesome nasty you got there. Thanks for posting these; it's interesting seeing the different pellicle from various cultures.

EDIT: are these all split from the same wort? How long have they been aging?

thanks for sharing your results. pellicles fascinate me:) it's great to see some proof of their unpredictable nature. perhaps they exhibit different traits in different combinations; synergism?
