So I'm thinking of trying a cider that tastes like liquid Orange Dreamcicle. I'm thinking of either stabilizing for a still cider or pasteurizing it. Here is what I've got so far.

1g test batch

---Primary
96oz apple juice+enough to top off
8oz water
1/2lb corn sugar
zest of 1 orange
2oz Lactose
Yeast nutrient
Pectic enzyme

---Secondary
4oz orange blossom honey
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 can orange juice concentrate

---Yeast
Nottingham

Ill be starting this tomorrow, anything missing/additions? I really want the orange to shine through more then the apple.

Instead of using a can of OJ in the secondary, consider using 1 1/3 (1.33) teaspoons of Orange Extract, available at WalMart in the baking / spices aisle.

Thanks for the advice, I picked some up on my way home from work. I switched out the orange zest with a tbsp of dried Valencia Orange Peel, which I saw at Wally World while getting the extract. It's bubbling away right now.

Just got done bottling. Added 3/4 cup sugar, and 1/2 tbsp orange extract. Ill let it carb to an appropriate CO2 volume, then pasteurize.
