I found this recipe for Gennesse Cram Ale. Since I am on a big lite cream ale kick now I want to brew this. I have not seen any thing about this recipe or even Gennesee. I would however like to use White labs Cali yeast. Any thought on the beer or yeast change?

WLP001 California Ale Yeast would work, although I'd be concerned about the higher attenuation. The corn is going to make it relatively dry. The 001 more so. Be careful to maintain the mash temperature, because if it drops much, you'll really have a dry ferment.

Drank a LOT of Jenny when I was an undergrad.

Voluntarily asking for the screamers, eh?

If you hadn't heard, High Falls Brewing is not back to its old name of the Genesee Brewing Co. after being purchased by North American Breweries.
Everyone expected the owner of Labatts, and the market saturation of Labatt's (and lack of High Falls/Genny marketing in their hometown) was going to make it a contract brewery and Labatt's outlet, so I'm glad to see their investing in the product I essentially grew up on...

Now, if they would just start releasing 12 horse again..
