I have a recipe that I wrote up and I was interested in using pacific gem as an aroma hop for the last 5-10 mins of the boil. I understand that it has a high alpha and is normally used for bittering. Has anyone used PG as a last hop addition with good results? I have found some people that said it was great used as an aroma hop.

I used it for bittering in my all NZ hopped Maori IPA. Gives aroma & some flavor of floraly oak & Blackberry. So I personally look at it as a multi-purpose hop. I'd say the oak comes through the most, then a dark berry with some floral/nectary bit after that.

I've used it all the way through a brew and it's quite nice. the tropical hop thing is subdued but it's still fruity and floral.
