Normal starter?

I am using some recycled yeast and have kind of a brown spot in the middle which I haven't seem before. Is this normal? Trying to decide if I should use it or not.

Looks fine to me. That's just some harmless crap (break material / trub) floating in the krausen. I see it all the time.
 
Thanks for the input. I have decided to just use it. The brown stuff disappeared about an hour after I took the pictures and it smells and tastes fine.
