Greetings!! Just wanted to say hello before bombarding this place with questions. I am very new to homebrewing. My wife picked me up a starter kit from Northern Brewer for Christmas.
I brewed my first batch the other day: a double IPA extract kit. It went mostly ok, though I made a slight error with the malt boil: With 12 pounds of malt, I was supposed to boil nine pounds for 60 minutes and three pounds for 15 minutes. I ended up boiling 11 pounds for 60 minutes. Meh. Hope it doesn't mess up the beer too much.
Here are a few pics...

Anyway, thanks in advance for answering my questions. I almost feel guilty hammering my homebrewing friend with all my questions.
