Nonprofit pub in Portland

Heard about this place on the radio this morning, sounds like a good idea. All proceeds will be going to local charities.

I kind of like the idea.

Now if only buying a beer was a tax deduction they'd be famous. I guess it is for the "level 1 founder" and level 2.

However, I'd be curious if they are exempt from the taxation on their beer production. That could be a game changer.

This thread is old, but I just found this place (It's called the Oregon Public House) so I decided to search the fourm for it. This post was in 2012 and now the pub has been open since2013, and it sounds like they've been successful.

Has anyone been here? Weather you have or not, what do you think of the idea?
