I'm new to kegging. Everytime I turn on my gas (forcing at around 30 psi), I get this loud blap-blap-blap for about 2 seconds before it goes away. Does this indicate some kind of leak in my valves? Is this normal?

Thanks!

Do you have check valves in anyof your fittings?

I get a peculiar noise from my check valves. Have had for a couple years now and everything works fine.

Is the sound coming from the keg, or the regulator?

Sound like the gas going into the keg, from your description.

Pretty sound...

:)

Sounds fairly normal to me. Most of the time this will happen when pressure is turned up high. Usually above 10 psi and you open the valve quickly. Try and open the valve slower to see what happens.
