Hey guys, just made an IPA last night and now 24 hours later it does not seem to be fermenting. I used white labs londen ale. The yeast was from late december. The package ballooned a little, could this be my problem? Am I overreacting? Should I give it more time before I completely freak out?

was the package in the fridge? if it ballooned then there are live yeast in there. it could be a few days before fermentation really takes off. i think the rule is to wait 72 hours?

I have 1 lid that doesnt seal tight. I made a great beer but never saw airlock activity. I have 2 other lids that I use now. Don't sweat it. It's cookin'.
