Hi Brewers,

I recently did my second only brew and noticed that the airlock did not bubble at all. I don't think it did on my first brew either. Fermentation has happened (there was trub in bottom and scuzz on lid). The fermentor was new too. Why no bubbling?

Kind regards,

Ross

Ya, no problem as long as you've confirmed fermentation happened. But if you have kraeusen remains on the lid, you were really close to blowing the lid off. The most common fix for this is using a blow-off tube instead of an airlock for very active fermentation. I use an oversized fermenter and no blow-off tube, but I'm in the minority.
