Newbie from SW Michigan

Hi all. I am new to home brewing and mead making. Two days ago I started my first batch of apricot melomel. I will also begin my first batch of beer in about 3 weeks. My wife bought me the Better Beer deluxe home brewing kit along with the Imperial Pale Ale ingredient kit.

I enjoy craft beers very much and with several breweries within a hour or so ( Bells, Founders, New Holland, Greenbush) I felt it a good hobby to delve into.

I keep bees with my father in law as another hobby...thus the mead interest

I look forward to spending much time on this forum.

I too am from SW Michigan, where are you from? Have you found a close by homebrew store?

Thanks for all the welcomes, gang. I am in South Haven. I have only gone to Bells for home brew supplies so far, and I think there may be one in Holland but am not 100% sure about that.

I am 8 days into my first mead and so far it is going well. I have a thread in the mead subforum about that project.
