For the longest time I wanted to brew my own beer, now that I'm retired from active duty and don't move every 4 years I decided to get started on it.

So far I have 2 batches under my belt, first was a Brewer's Best American Amber just to cut my teeth on. (I quite liked it, but I think I can make it better).

Second is in primary right now, its a Malty Brown Ale recipe I got from a friend on another non-brewing forum.
It smelled wonderful while boiling, it'll be going to secondary this weekend.

Third batch will probably be a Creme Ale or maybe an all grain.
Tons of good info here, glad to be a part of it!

Hello Shnick...First of all..Thank you for the active duty you served for this Great Country! As for brewing, you will continue to improve on every beer you brew. Why not make the jump to an AG for your third brew. There is nothing wrong with that. :) Welcome to the forum. :mug:
