I was looking around to see if I could find a source for PET bottles designed for carbonated beverages. I've seen a few of the amber colored ones for Mr. beer and stuff, but I was hoping someone knew of a place that sold 1-liter or so bottles brand new, even if they are not amber, especially if I can get them for less than buying the fruit soda bottles from safeway which run around 80 cents each.

Anyone?

I keg or use glass myself, just pointing out a site that has several types of PET bottles. Perhaps they have something else that may work for you?

The 1L flavored "sparkling water" PET bottles from Wal*Mart work great. I keg, but use those bottles to carry beer around when needed.

They have 20oz versions of the bottles, in 6 packs, sometimes.

These are very thick plastic.
