Hi to all,
I've bought a Klarstein keetle and I'd like to use the new Grainfather control box to set uo the Mash process.
What do you think ? Are the pid settings customizable to use on other keetle?

thanks

I was curious about the same thing. I’m interested in building an electric system with a kettle I already have and wondered if I could use the Grainfather Connect box as a controller. I like the idea of having the automation/app features that it provides without buying the whole Grainfather system.

if it has a PID logic function I think that doesn't work well on other kettles

Well... long time no updates but I'm just gonna go for it.

I've got an extra USA GF connect controller and a hot rod heat stick (1650W, 14A) that I'm gonna use as a sparge water heater. Should be simple enough. Plug the heat stick into the connect heat element socket and put the heat stick into an old kettle. I guess I'll report back after my next brew. Perhaps a relay would be a good idea, but that's a little bit above my EE understanding.
