I am an extract/PM guy and here is the scoop.

I have a buddy who I met when travelling europe back 19 years ago and he is relocating to Oz. He let me know the other day he is coming over for an extended stay at my place...no issues, BUT I need a few English ale recipes that can finish (boil to belly) quickly!

I have a few in the pipeline but they are west coast IPAs, and I want him to feel "at home". In fact he was the one to introduce me to celler temp newcastle brown. Sooo....

I need some suggestions HBT. I am keggin now so I can force carbonate but i need something that will clean up fairly quickly.

Thanks in advance from me, and my Welsh buddy for any suggestions!

My "beginners" English brown ale is ready quickly, and it's easy to do. Another recipe I like is Jamil Zainasheff's mild. You can probably easily find that on the internet, and I've done the AG version of it and loved it.

Thanks Yooper!

The name of this brew will be "MUsky Brown", as my buddy is from Usk in wales.

Really, he broke my "yellow fizzy" beer cherry...oh, that sounded odd!

He, and his wife/newborn, are here next week! Big Surprise for me!
