This is my first time attempting to do a partial mash. I am pretty set as far as techniques (I think). But I found an all extract recipe out of Sam Calagiones Extreme Brewing book that I wanted to try and convert to a partial mash.
Can someone help me convert this?
Heres the recipe:
Ginger Saison
Preboil Tea:
4 ½ gal of water (17L)
1 lb (455 g) crushed Cara-Munich barley
2 teaspoons (10g) gypsum
Boil:
6.6 lbs (3 kg) light LME (65 min.)
1 lb (455 g) light DME (65 min.)
1 ½ oz (43g) Hallertau pellets (60 min.)
1 lb (455 g) light Belgian Candi sugar (15 min)
½ oz (15 g) Hallertau pellets (10 min)
1 teaspoon (5 g) Irish moss (10 min)
½ oz (15 g) Styrian Golding pellets (5 min)
2 oz (55 g) crystallized ginger cut into pea size pieces (end of boil)
Yeast:
WLP565 Saison
Starting Gravity: 1.072
Final Gravity: 1.015
Final Target ABV: 7%
Thanks for the help
