Hello,

I brewed the following extract recipe and it came out great, trying to convert it all grain using BrewersFriend software. The amount of grain seems high but the OG and IBU's are close.

Thanks in advance for the help

Lee

Bump up the brewhouse efficieny to at least 60% (you should be able to get better) and you can lower your grain bill.

Yeah you need to raise your efficiency. 35% is what they use for steeping grains.

To convert it from extract to all grain, just swap out the extract for base malt to get to the correct OG. Leave the specialty grains the same. Since this I guess is a wheat IPA you should go with 50:50 (or whatever ratio the extract is) Pale 2-row:Wheat malt. Then just make sure your bittering addition is giving you the same IBUs.

Also you can probably cut the White wheat addition. You won't notice 5% of a different wheat variety.

Thanks for the help. This looks a lot better!

The wheat extract was 65-35. I t looks pretty good after taking out the white wheat and changing the efficiency to 65%.

What do you think?
