I'm planning on brewing a Winter Warmer following Northern Brewers Recipe:

Grains:
11.5 lbs Rahr 2-row (recipe calls for Maris Otter but I have a bag of 2-row)
1 lbs Med. Crystal
0.25 lbs Chocolate (English)

Hops:
2 oz. Willamette (60 min)
1 oz. Willamette (10 min)

Questions is I have the follow yeast that I could use and not sure what to use (recipe calls for Scottish Ale Yeast):

Wyeast 1056 American Ale
Wyeast 1098 British Ale
Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale
Wyeast 2565 Kolsch

Looking to make Starter tonight to get this ready for the weekend

I like the Scottish ale suggestion - White Labs Edinburgh is my favorite yeast, what I use more than any other.

Of the ones you have, though, I would choose between the American or British, depending on whether you wanted the English ester flavors or a cleaner flavor profile associated with American ales.

I'd go with 1056. It seems more cohesive with the rest of the beer (American base malt, American hop variety). That being said I've only used the others on your list once at most, so take that into consideration. Happy brewing this weekend!

If it were me I would choose the 1084. The 1056 would be my second choice.

The remaining two seem like they would give more fruitiness.

Ditto. If I had to choose between those yeasts, I'd go with the 1084.

Otherwise WLP028 Edinburgh or Denny's Favorite 50 have been my favorite house yeasts lately. They'd both work really well here.
