I was just wanting to post up my build of my stir plate. I read quite a few post on some DIY projects and just got me inspired. I decided to build a dual stir plate, because me and a friend often brew two separate beers at the same time. and I just wanted to make two starters.
1x project box
2x 12v illuminated rocker switch
1x printed circuit board
2x 25ohm 3w rheostat
4x 3" 6/32 machine screws
12x nuts 6/32
4x washers 6/32
Spare piece of wood
Spare piece of 1/2" plexiglas
And the support for plexiglas was made from 2x4 cut in half
Leftover black spray paint
Leftover polyurethane finish
Also you may wonder why u see some capacitors and a regulator. Well that was originally for a power supply that was rated over 12v and I had the 12v regulator so my fans didn't burn out. But the power supply was broken. So ATM it's using a 9v supply. And I left that configuration in case I get a bigger power supply.
