After unsuccessfully attempting to lager a bock beer in for the range of 52 - 58F with the stock thermostat in the kegerator, I decided it was time to upgrade. I use Omega controllers all the time at work and found one for super cheap on ebay ($20 when they retail for $200+) that I knew would work great. This is the MicroMega series digital PID controller, however I'm only using it in On/Off mode because PID is a bit overkill for this application, plus it would kill the compressor in a hurry. Anyway, here are some pics:

The switch on the right operates the tower cooling fan.

Thanks. Since I use them at work all the time it was the obvious choice and made for a fun project, too. No more crumby, vague thermostat control! And, with the controller probe directly in contact with the keg, the temperature reading on the controller is the temperature of the beer.:)
