My neighbor was throwing away a mini fridge without a door.
I took it home and found it didnt work. Thanks to some videos on YouTube I was able to determine the problem was with the thermometer.
I wanted a chamber that could hold two fermenters, one of which is my fermzilla.
I decided to lay the fridge on its back.
After repositioning the compressor so it is right side up, I built a box around the fridge from 3/4 inch plywood that was tall enough to accept the fermzilla.
I covered the wood with insulation foam board and made a top from 1/2 inch plywood and more foam board. I added an inkbird thermometer and wheels to be able to move the chamber when necessary.
All in all it cost me under $150.
I'm going to make my first batch of Modello negro and lager in my new chamber.
