I've been making 1 gallon brews from kits for about 6 batches and now I'm ready to dip my toes into the world of brew. I inherited some spare ingredients and wanted to get some critique on my next frankenbrew. This is for a 1 gallon kit.( I don't have the space/tools/skillz for 5 gallon yet.):

1lbs Pilsner malt
1lbs Vienna malt
~.25lbs smoked malt
TBD amount of Sorachi Ace and Saaz hops
White Labs SF Lager yeast
1/4cup maple syrup for bottling

My goal is to do a light-ish beer with a subtle tingle from the hops and a touch of spice from the smoked malt. I'm afraid this one might take a nun's touch to get just right in terms of hops/smoke, I envision a lot of smell testing unless someone here has some hot tips...

Spare parts that could be of use:
Safeale s04
1lbs CaraBelge malt
+1lbs vienna malt
Hallertau hops
