Hi, I threw away the last batch and started two new ones and after initially looking promising at building the first thin layer from a very small piece of submerged scoby I now end up with this. These are 2 jars and there's 2 photos for each. One looks really ugly greenish brown and fuzzy - but not like mold I know, it also doesn't seem dry. But it seems to compete with the growth of shiny white smooth scoby.
I looked at many pictures before posting here and hardly saw anything like it. What's going on here? I started with vinegar, but didn't measure pH and it might be a bit cool. It's 10 -14 days I think.
The red circles are around yellowish warts that are of a soft creamy texture and can be smeared with a fingernail. Not solid like scoby.
