anyone tried this one before? The grain bill is 9# 2 row, 8oz carapils, and 12 oz black malt. That seems like a LOT of black malt to me. anyone got an opinion on it?
 
Nope, no-one has ever tried this before.:D

Just kidding, we used to brew it, from what I remember it wasn't too bad, we all like our dark brews though.:mug:
 
I love a dark beer too, but i don't like liquid burnt toast. I was just worried the black malt might be too much, but i guess i might be brewing this guy up next.
 
You could always cold steep the black malt which would help keep the astringency at bay.
