So what is the highest anyone has taken trappist yeast? Is 12-14% asking to much for this strain? obviously i would need a huge starter and a ton of airation.

I've only used White Labs trappist (WLP500) for my Belgian-style beers. I recently brewed a high gravity one that ended up with ABV 14%. I made a 2L starter and for aeration a paint stirrer attachment for my drill got the job done.

My last triple with WY3787 was easily over 10% (5.75 gal, 1.076 og, 1.014 fg, plus an extra two lbs sugar added to secondary, didn't do the math but you can) great yeast, super fast, bottle conditioned fast as well.
