Hey guys, looking to start 3 gal BIAB. Would there be any consequence to leaving the mash uncovered w/ thermometer attached to kettle while controlling temp by increasing/decreasing heat w/ continuous monitoring?
A 3 gallon mash will easily fit in a warm oven, preheat to 170 and turn the oven off when you put the mash in.
