I'm brewing Janet's Brown from Jamil's book. For the AG recipe it says, "Reduce the 60 minute Northern Brewer addition by .75 oz (previously 2 oz) and instead add a 1 oz mash hop addition of Northern Brewer".
Now, understand about the mash hopping. Here's my question, the wording in the above paragraph is vague. I know I need to add 1 oz to the mash (currently doing). Do I still use a bittering addition at 60 or is that replaced by the mash hopping? If I do the bittering addition do I add 1.25 oz? It's the wording that gets me. Beersmith doesn't help me with the calculations that I can see.
Thanks for the quick help.
