I just got a new SS brew pot and I want to put volume markings on it. Does anyone have a good idea on how to mark it, without installing a sight glass. I was thinking about etching it. Also, do I start my increments it the ball valve or at the bottom?
Thanks

One recomendation I saw is instead of calibrating your pot, to calabrite your stiring device. (large spoon, whatever). You mark that for 1 gal, 2 gal, etc and then when you stnad it staright up you know how much you've got.

Down side it is for that pot

I just marked mine with a sharpie as I filled it up with measured water and then, after draining and drying, gouged out some lines with a dremel tool. Not very pretty, but it works.
