I've got a bad feeling, but here goes:

My 2ish year old keggerator, a Magic Chef, won't get below about 54 degrees. I took the temp controller off of it to use in my son's science project, and when I hooked it back up, 54 is all I got. I haven't been drinking much beer lately, and didn't look, so I'm not sure if it was working right before I unplugged it.

I'm getting a fairly thick frost in the top back right side corner. The condenser keeps running. It knows it isn't cold enough.

Kapoot?

Thanks,
BrewBrain

It's one of two things:

1) You may need to defrost the thing. Turn it off for a couple days and let everything melt. Sometimes the frost will gunk up the internals so the compressed air never makes it to inside of the unit and just piles up more and more frost.

2) Your unit may need a freon/refridgerant charge!
