I brewed a Troegs Mad Elf Clone on saturday - 10 gallon batch. Although i only boiled down to 11 gallons, wasn't paying close enough attention, drinking homebrew will do that to you, but i guess i'll talk an extra gallon of beer.

I made 2 starters of WLP500 that i washed from a dubbel i brewed last month and this stuff has been going crazy.

I pitched the yeast about 4pm Saturday and had a OG of 1.097. Just took a reading and down to 1.044 already. Still seems to be going strong. I hope it gets to my 1.017 target. Going to be adding 8-9lbs of cherries this time next week then!

There are no questions from me in this post....just excitement!!:mug:

I have the juju....used 5lbs of clover honey in the boil...and 9lbs of cherries hittiing it when fermentation slows down a little.
