So I was at Lowes today ready to pony up $85.99 for 50ft of 1/2 inch copper pipe when lo and behold, 50ft of 5/8 inch was on sale for $79.99. I made an immersion chiller with it that I will actually use as a pre-chiller for my Therminator. The 25ft 3/8 inch chiller that I was using from my first 5 gallon batches was not able to cool the hot Phoenix groundwater enough in an ice bath. All said and done it was around $95 for all the compression fittings and hose adapters, also the pipe! Pretty easy to manipulate around a corny keg. The hard part that I gave up on was bending them perfectly using the springy pipe benders. 5/8in is a beast to bend sharply by hand. Overall I am very happy with it. Behold!

It was in Phoenix. Not sure when it ended. The guy in the store said it should have been a nation wide sale.
