I just force carbed my blue moon clone, 48hrs at 30psi. After adjusting to normal serving pressure I am getting a glass full of foam. I typically carb all of my beers this way, but sometimes might actually carb for 40 hours or so because I didn't keep track of the time. This time I undoubtedly carbed for 48hrs on the dot. Is this possible "extra" time accounting for all this foam? Any help is appreciated.

The simplest answer is, yes, you probably overcarbed it a bit. I usually move it down to set and forget pressure after 24 hours or so of 30 psi.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply. I will remember that for next batch

If your system normally pours fine than you've likely over-carb'd your beer. I'm lazy, so I use the set & forget method - works everytime, but takes 1.5-2 weeks...

You can depressurize the keg to reduce the carbonation (i.e. unhook it from the CO2 system, purge to atmospheric pressure, and let CO2 escape into the headspace). It'll take time, but you should be able to reduce to normal carbonation.

Im carbing this way but letting them for 72 h instead 48, Thats the perfect way I found . 4 days at room temp. Should not overfoam, at how much psi are you serving?

Serving at 8psi, but I carb in the kegerator at serving temp, roughly 38F
