OK, so a friend just found out his wife is preggers. After talking about it for a while, I suggested that it might be cool if we brewed a barleywine in celebration of the pregnancy, that would first be drank to celebrate the child's birth (~9 months, duh). And then another bottle or so would be opened each year of the child's birth, with the final bottles being shared with said child on their 21st birthday.
Good idea? Is 21.75 years too long for a barleywine?
