I bought a brewers best red ale kit and when I went to add the light lme I noticed it had some off color to it compared to the the rest of it, it was like a cream almost white color, I went ahead and used it, is this abnormal? Thanks
 
??? Never heard of that one. Sounds like it was off if it was a milky color. Light/gold LME shouldn't look like that.

It is fine. It is just more than one type of LME in the same container.

I guess that's how they make it a light lme?
 
Light LME should be a rich golden brown,kinda clear thick syrup. If it looks milky,it's likely off from exposer to air. Which contains nasties.
