beersmith calculates calories based only on OG and FG. Would the type of sugars left in the beer also affect calories? Or if going for a specific calorie range should i only focus on gravity and not ingredients?
According to this Alcoholic Drinks - Weight Loss the alcohol in beer provides most of the calories while the unfermentables provide the carbs.It looks like if you want a lower caloric beer then the alcohol level must also be low.
