LHBS discount to AHA members

Hi all,

I am sure a lot of you know this already, but I just learned this today and thought I would pass this on.

I get my ingredients from Brew and Grow, if there is one in your area, you may want to know that they give a 10% discount on ingredients and extract kits to AHA members. Depending on how much you spend, the $43 membership may be offset by your discount.

Anyone else get a similar discount at their LHBS?

My hat is off to that shop. They recognize the value that we all get out of AHA stewardship of issues that affect us all. I wish my LHBS did that, but I've had no luck.

Northern Brewer and Midwest both give 10% off in their stores. Except Blichman stuff.

Morebeer does 5% off for AHA but 10% for local brew club at least in store.

My shop in Tampa, Southern Brewing, gives an AHA discount. I think it is 10%, just on ingredients, not equipment.

The AHA website is supposed to have a list of participating supply stores. If you live near a shop, you might also check to see if there is a local homebrewing club. Many times the local shops support the local clubs in a similar way.
