I forgot to make a yeast starter and I started brewing. Is it a big deal to leave the beer in the carboy for a few days until my starter is ready. I am using washed yeast so I think I should probably make a starter but I could just throw the yeast in. I am only brewing 3 gallons. Thanks!!

I guess the question is do you have enough washed yeast for the batch? I had one brew session where my efficiency was way over the norm so I had to pitch some washed yeast with the fresh yeast I had on hand. No starter for the washed yeast. Everything came out fine.

I'd much rather pitch sooner than later, and a 3 gallon batch should run fine on just a half ounce of yeast. If you have that much on hand, I'd pitch it now...

Cheers!
