Warning, the video says "Hey Google" if you have a google device near you.

Are you super lazy like me and can't walk over to flip a switch? Here's my RO water being turned on and off through my Google Home thingy. Also hooked up a Digiten flow meter.

That's cool!
More dets please. Can Alexa do the same thing?

Probably, the pump is connected to a Kaaza smart switch which is added to the Google home app so you can control it by voice. Just find a smart switch compatible with Alexa.

How does the flow meter fit in? Can you say fill 5 gallons?

What you can do it set it for 5 gallons on the Digiten, then whenever you're ready say hey google turn on pump and the digiten will fill 5 gallons and turn off the solenoid valve. Would be nice to just say fill 5 gallons but I don't think it can do that.

Does that flow meter use garden hose fittings?

This one uses 1/4" John Guest type tubing... they make different options though, you could probably use an adapter to get a water hose to work.
