Can anyone recommend a good lager kit?

I am in the Mid West and we should see temps drop soon. I would like to age it in the garage. Anyone have pros and cons with this technique? or is this even recommended?

If you maintain 45-52 degree temperatures in your garage with no fluctuation, then doing a lager there should work.

I do it in my basement all the time! Ferment at 50 degrees for a couple of weeks, then do a diacetyl rest at 60 degrees for a few days, then rack and lager at 34 degrees (in an Igloo cooler with water and ice blocks in a 45 degree area of my basement) for 8-10 weeks.
