This time I thought I'd go with a coffee porter. Brew went real well. Followed the kit to a T and SG was spot on. A small Krausen formed last night, a few hours after the brew, and this morning there wasn't any at all. This hasn't happened before, so what do I need to do to fix it if this raises concerns. Thanks!

Each brew is different. I'd just let it do what it wants to do, I'm sure it'll be fine.

I had a similar experience a few months ago. After about 4 days with no visible signs of active fermentation, I concluded that I had a bad batch of yeast, so I took a gravity reading. It had gone down from about 1.050 to about 1.020. I left it for another 2 1/2 weeks and kegged it. The beer was fine, but it worried me for a few days with no krausen.
